ROLE OVERVIEW
This role ensures the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of office facilities through routine maintenance, minor repairs, and support tasks, helping maintain a comfortable and compliant work environment for employees and visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean office areas and common spaces.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as fixing leaks, repairing minor office issues, changing light bulbs, or carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
- Monitor the facility for needed repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure all areas are safe, hazard-free, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency cleaning or maintenance requests as needed.
- Assist with other administrative work as required.
- Maintain and check inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Assist in the movement of equipment and materials for delivery and removal during project implementation and closure, supporting the ESCE team as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in janitorial, maintenance, or custodial work is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques (carpentry, electrical, plumbing).
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively.
- Good physical stamina, with the ability to lift, move, and carry heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward solving problems.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
